The Anti-Mickey

Every finkster knows that 'Big Daddy' Ed Roth originally conceived his most beloved character as "the antithesis of Mickey Mouse". Mickey was squeaky clean, kid-friendly and had a super positive attitude while The Fink was filthy, dangerous and quite possibly insane. Mickey looked like a bunch of harmless balloons. Rat Fink looked like... well, a GIGANTIC RAT! He had a long, nasty-lookin' snout filled with razor-sharp fangs, sickening grey-green skin and huge hairy ears. He was clacky-clawed, covered with warts and surrounded by buzzing flies... and boy did we love him for it!

At least that's the way Big Daddy drew him, but somewhere along the line ole RF got toned down quite a bit - Revell did a great job on the model but let's face it - any injection molded commercially produced kit, especially in the early 60s, couldn't really reproduce the gnarly, fun-tastic detail of those original Roth drawings... and maybe they didn't want to?

So here's the TexFX Kustom Rat Fink - RF the way Big Daddy wanted him to be: smelly, sweaty, snouty, snarly, gnarly, lumpy, lazy, loathsome an unbe-LEEV-ably, OVER-THE-TOP HAIRBALL! The Anti-Mickey Mouse!

This TexFX Kustom built-up has many a ton of extras: An EXTRA-LONG extended SNOUT filled with RAZOR-SHARP, YELLOwY TEETH to match the original drawings, an extended lower jaw with teeth as well, the famous Ed Roth/Don Martin "toe lift" and of course a LOTTA HAIR... EXTRA HEAD HAIR, EAR HAIR, ARM HAIR, LEG HAIR, not to mention extra FOOT HAIR, TOE HAIR, SHOULDER HAIR, BACK HAIR... whew!
