The second of the "Laughing Goddess" series, all of which were sculpted in spring/summer 2000, from one large old tree felled by neighbors remodelling their home near the artist's studio in Los Angeles. This piece is in a private collection.

Artist's Assist:This is the second "Laughing" piece and the lines are getting more expressive, I think. I call these the goddesses because the more free-form I get with them the more strength and vitality seems to come out. To me they look sort of super human, above and beyond our cares and clouded vision.
